Does anyone here know what kind of program I would need to overlay lines and graphics to video, not still images? Sounds simple but I can't find what it is I need to get.

Easy Media Creator 9.0 or better. You can get it on ebay for almost nothing, with immediate download. With this you can put boxes, text, etc into videos.

It really depends on what your editing with. With programs like Adobe Premiere, final cut, etc.... you can take graphics and lines created in photoshop/illustrator and overlay them pretty well. The best bet is Adobe After Effects.... but its far from cheap.

That's what I use at work and at home. It may be far from cheap but its by far the most amazing video software known to man.. and.. aliens.. and pool players.

Well, I wouldnt say its the greatest known to man, but it puts the bread on my table. Its the perfect solution to things like this because you can be 100% accurate with perspective.

Good to see other players do similar work.

oops, I just fully understood what was being requested -- lines and graphics, i.e. to spec out shot patterns, etc... MS Movie Maker won't do that (at least not from what I've seen). They should just add the Drawing module from MS Word to that program, and that'd do it!
