I enjoyed watching this match (as I do whenever I see Corey play, he's just so talented and creative), but it seems that both players were somewhat fatigued. I can think of no other explanation for some of the missed balls and mental errors committed by these two quality players. Of course, from what I understand of the situation at that tournament, its certainly understandable why they would be so tired.
Seeing videos on that site gives me big hopes...........

I did notice that on rack 10 (score was 5-4 Corey), after David broke he kept shooting & made a nice run but I counted 10 balls on the table after the break & didn't see one fall in a pocket. Did anyone else notice this or are my eyes failing. Also, I didn't see Corey in the chair during this time - may have been taking a pit stop.
I'm not accusing David of knowingly doing this, and I may be mistaken about the whole thing, but they both did look fatigued & anything can happen at that point. Just a point of curiousity.

I really enjoyed some of their safety play and escapes. It was an entertaining match.

Right you are sir, it is spotted. I went there thinking in my mind that it was a win as in 9ball, but they have removed that portion. And why punish a guy for making a good break and taking the table from him.
I noticed the 10 going in too...then the next thing you know he's shooting again...maybe he shouldn't edit out so much of the non shooting moments...12squared said:

Some players were there till 9am on Sunday playing Saturday's matches, with 93 players the tournament was basically running 24 hours a day.
My match was done at 5:45am and there were 2 more rounds after that, EVERYONE was tired so yes, fatigue may play a part in the mistakes that were made.

I think at least for a knowledgeable pool audience, it's a great thing to be able to watch an entire match without skipping any shots, but also without all the long pauses in between shots/racks that often get filled up with commentator babble. Fits my attention span well, at least.

Some people hate him so much they will compromise their own ethics by making more things up than he actually did/said..
I'll say this.. When I hated Clinton, I hated him for his total lack of personal ethics, not on his politics. I freely admit I disliked him as a person. I would never have made up anything to criticize him about, though..
