Video Encyclopedia of Eight Ball (VEEB) example clips

Hey Dr Dave,

I don't see the package that might be interesting to me.

Entire VEEB Series (Discs I-V) without multi-disc case +
Entire VEPP Series (Discs I-V) without multi-disc case

I already have the
Entire VEPS Series without multi-disc case.
and
Entire HAPS Series (Discs I-III) with the multi-disc case.

Having not met or seen you before, I've always imagined you as a cranky old man when I read your posts and see your user name. Now I visualize you as a juvenille teenager always at the computer (which has a quite sticky keyboard).

I think I like PJ better than you, but in a manly sort of way. :p

Catch you later,
Dave

Ha, you know not to jump to conclusions, right?

Shucks, I meant to ask your opinion about FargoRate during the interview....feel like offering one?
I think FargoRate is the bomb and the nuts. I also think it is awesome. I hope all league systems and tournaments use it in the not-too-distant future.

For those interested in the BU playing-ability exams and rating system, we have a chart available on the BU website that compares all common rating and handicapping systems, including Fargo.

FYI - Check the ABR thread, I posted a reference to "BBC Pool"
I saw that and replied. Thank you for posting it.

Catch you later,
Dave

PS: For those who haven't tried the BU Exams and Rating system, please consider giving it an attempt and posting scores (and videos if available) on the AZB BU thread.

FYI, Tom Simpson just did a review of our VEEB series, and this is what he wrote:

"Play smarter. Win more games. If you are an 8 Ball player and you're tired of taking beatings, this is the answer.

I don't care how well you play or how much you think you know, you'll learn more than you bargained for. This 5 DVD series contains 274 knowledge-packed minutes of solid, useful material for 8 Ball players. This is not baby stuff. Lots of depth and strategic insight. Old timers will learn some terrific things here too. And just to be safe, watch disk 3 several times. Get these videos and stop giving away so many 8 Ball games.”

Needless to say, I was flattered. In fact, it made my day.

Thanks Tom,
Dave

Well Dr David Tom Simpson said it, then I would say it probably true so you have reason to be proud.
I watched it for 3 times so far good job.

You shouldn't encourage Mr. Brokeback Mountain. He'll just get started again. :sorry:

Catch you later,
Dave

Dr. Dave,

I just received an email about your new video series from Tom Simpson. I'm a past student and fan of his and I also have your VEPP & VEPS series and am a big fans of yours as well. I can't tell you how much your videos have helped my game over the years and I'm frequently referring back to those discs while practicing.

After receiving Tom's email I took a look at your sample videos and was immediately convinced I needed this series as well. I just placed an order from Tom.

Thanks for helping me become a better player,

PRGeno

I'm glad you like my stuff, and I hope you enjoy and benefit from VEEB also.

Catch you later,
Dave

Dr., I've had my VEEB about two weeks now and it is just as well done as I expected. A top professional job in video, sound, editing and production. Oh, and subject matter too. I have three of your series now and all are top notch.

Just about all of the other pool DVD's that I have purchased from other sources are a disappointment in the quality of production and/or communication of the lesson.

I buy the Dr. Dave DVD's knowing I'll get a quality product, and I have. Very well done. Thank you.

So many pool instruction videos are just someone at the table talking. I'm sure they rehearse and/or have a plan for what to say, but it's just not the same as Dr. Dave's videos, with a voice over for the video, describing path lines drawn on a table setup. It allows so much more of an efficient and planned presentation. I often feel like there's a lot of wasted time in other videos, but not in Dave's.
