97 ball run Thorsten Hohman

and 107 Ball run by Huidji See

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RLNv_kzYHg

Huidji's run was the only one to qualify into the top eight. One year the cut off was 73. The competition and the quality of play is going up every year.

Even though the top three players did not qualify, they are definitely seasoned straight pool players and their approaches are well worth looking at.

Thanks for sharing Dennis !!!

I watched Nick's 98 last night, he had some tough situations to contend with during that run !

Looking forward to watching some more tonight.

Thanks for all you do

thank you, Dennis!

Huidji See's run must have set the record for distance traveled by the cue ball in a 100 ball run. some pretty astonishing "patterns", especially in the last few racks.

Watched See's run whose game I have come to admire. What a speedy table; he got to his third rack before just two balls were touching after the break shot. Racks one and two were perfect spreads.

Thanks for the videos. Interesting opening break shot for Hohman.

Yeah, I have been trying that one lately. The cue ball does not seem to get in trouble staying higher up.

What did you think about his end pattern? I thought he should have used the ball down next to the break ball as a key ball rather than the one in the kitchen on the opposite side of the table, like he did. He got straight in on it and had to try to cheat the pocket a little. I was thinking he was going to reverse the order of the last two balls he shot at.
