Video of my Fiance and myself goofing around at Bumpers in Huntsville, AL

oh well

there goes a minute of my life. NO way I watch this for 29 minutes.....to those of you that do enjoy?

Here's some basic helpful instructional information that applies to both of you. First, stop your cuetip at the CB, for a bit (a second), before you pull back to hit it. This allows your subconscious brain to "decide" if you're 'ready or not'. When you get in a hurry, you get in a hurry to make an error. Second, slow down the final backswing. Tough to have a smooth forward stroke when you have a fast backswing. Both of these things are traits of good players. EVERYBODY backswings too fast...particularly when they're under pressure (yeah, I know you were just 'goofing off'...but most of us do the same things when we compete). Hope this helps. :D

Here's my instructional advise. Beware of Redheads, they can hurt you in so many good ways. LOL Good luck on the pending marriage young man. Marrying a nice looking young lady who likes to play pool seems like a very good idea to me.

Thanks for the tips! I'm sure that's somewhat of an issue for me regardless of context of this practice. To be honest this was recorded in February I hadn't really played at all for quite a while. Up until recently our area didn't have a place to play within an hour of my home. I guess I'm so spoiled that if it's not a Diamond, I don't bother practicing on it.

Good news is that after a few months my game is starting to come back together. I do appreciate any tips I do get so next time I'm out I'll play some 10-Ball ghost and you can tell me if you see a big difference or what I'm doing wrong now.

Enjoy your fiance's support of your game while it lasts...Magic 8Ball says that won't last long after the wedding!

Ha Ha Ha Ha! I was divorced once a few years back and you can only guess what my ex hated the most about me.

Actually the silver lining is that she liked pool before we started dating. I was very good friends with her two sisters so I knew what she liked and didn't like. Her love for the game isn't the same as mine but our interest is about the same. Moral of the story is she may not play as much without me but she would still play.

I'm not sure about that but I'll lay odds it will substantially diminish if not evaporate after the first child is born. LOL

I think I may be the luckiest guy in the world!! She doesn't want children... she loves dogs to the point she actually works for a vet and with the exception of me actually hating Mcdonalds fast food, we hate all the same foods!

What's the line on this one? I'll be like Danny D and bet you a breakfast!

Dude, I'd be getting the license signed and a ring on that girl's finger NOW. LOL

Scott, I'd like to get instruction like this. Do you ever visit New Orleans?

You can get the last 3 in some partner pool if you like. We can goof around for a couple a hundred a set. The girl that will play with me only plays once a week. I'm only 40 miles from you in Cullman. Have you been to the new spot in Decatur, Six Pockets? Nice place with around 14 barboxes and 8, 4 1/2 x 9's, all diamonds.

A couple hundred pesos?

I actually started going there recently to save about 40 minutes drive time and it also allows me to play more than once or twice a month so I can get back into form. I'll play some with you but I don't gamble like I used to so chances are you won't pull a couple hundred a set from me. I'll play any game on any size table but the lighting on the 9' tables in Decatur bothers my eyes.

Foul @ 5:19. ;)

I remember it. I had thought it touched the five while we were playing but when I mentioned it she told me not to worry about it. I had a lot of inside on that shot and the dead giveaway for me was the fact I completely missed the position bumping off the five on the way off the rail.
