OK, first off, I have to say in all my years of playing, I have never watched myself on video. I know, I know, I have taped my students and can fix their flaws, but you know, Physician, heal thyself.
I never realized what a jabby stroke I have. I always knew I jumped up, but now I have 2 things to work on (among others) on my stroke. That said, it is a wonder I ever make a ball. That is definitely something I will work on. I also broke horribly, most racks were dry. Notwithstanding the yips, I was breaking well in my other matches, and this table seemed extra tough, especially when Ford racked.
2nd of all, I really thought Kyoko made a lot of great runouts, but I see that she actually made a lot of crucial errors that should have cost her...I just made a ton more.
Uncle Jacks does a great job with 2 cameras, and graphics. In the background you will see Dan Louie and Mr. J. Some of you may know Ford from the Reno tournaments. You will be able to watch each game by the game; make sure to double click to enlarge the screen. I think the camera not only adds 10 pounds, but it all goes to your boobs!

Rundown of the NWPA Finals:
Game 1 - I break dry - K runs out. 0-1
Game 2 - K breaks, misses 6, I run out. 1-1
Game 3 - I break, hang 9, K makes a good 3 rail bank on the 1 to combo in the 9. 1-2
Game 4 - K breaks, almost scratches and runs out. 1-3
Game 5 - I break, make a ball, but no good on the one. I think I tried a long masse' and missed the whole ball. K misses the 8, I win. 2-3
Game 6 - K breaks, we both struggle. I play a bad safe, she wins. 4-2
Game 7 - Terrible break with a scratch, but somehow I end up with the win and the last one I will ever get. 4-3
Game 8 - K breaks and plays safe. I make a good 3-rail kick on the 1. She plays a tough safe. She gets bad on the 7 and plays safe, yet I can see it, even make it. Here is where I didn't make up my mind about playing safe (hitting the tit and putting the 7 on the end rail) or making the cut and running out). I played in between and sold out. I think this was the crucial turning point of the match for me mentally. 5-3
From here on out, I am kind of messed up. Somewhere I note an extra game???
Game 9 - Another dry break and K runs out. 6-3
Game 10 - K rolls out. I play a bad crossover safe where it double kisses. There was also a shot where I should have jumped and I looked at it, but elected to go rail first and she ran out. 7-3
Game 11 - I broke and ran down to the last 4 balls and missed. 8-3
Game 12 - I play a nice safe, she makes a great hit. I play TERRIBLE position and missed the 9. She misses a good 9 ball bank, I miss a fairly easy bank, she plays a good safe, I play another bad safe and sell out. 8-3
Actual game 12 - We traded some good safeties. I made the cardinal sin of not getting a ball to the rail on a kick safe and she gets BIH. End of story. 9-3
She played well and since she a fulltime pro playing against a weekend warrior, I suppose the outcome was inevitable. I enjoyed matching up against her and while it was by far not my best game or match, it was a pleasure playing Kyoko.
Extras - you will see K primping for pictures and me hamming it up. I really didn't know the cameras stayed on beyond the beginning of it.
You will also see a good shot of Danny Louie.
