WOW

I have DVD 2 and have watched it many times. I actually use three systems, contact point (stick aiming) the See System and the CTE/Pro1 System. The CTE/Pro1 system is the one I use for blind cuts and banks.

I really need to get back to CTE/Pro1 but right now I'm working on delivering a straight pool stroke.

Thanks Mohrt.

I don't have any videos... but I do have a few screen shots that were collected from the match (from just the first few games!!) and sent to me by a CTE fan.

You guys do know that when John was in the booth after the first night he said, "I use CTE on almost every shot."

Is he shooting pool or spear fishing? :)

CTE is a VISUAL SYSTEM. I think you may be implying that CTE is physical by your array of pictures.

And also, you played well during the match.

Yeah, all that jumping around by John and you still barely beat him. Right Lou, the guy you're trying to ridicule with the pictures almost beat you. You're awesome dude.

Nice screen shots! Notice his arm starts out at the center, and ends up at the edge. Remember John stating he doesn't use it quite like Stan teaches?? A while back, I told John he needed to work on his stroke, he said it was fine. Hey John, do you see these pictures?? Fix the CTE "dance", and your game will go up!

Nice shooting Lou, congrats on the win.

Thanks, Stan.

And I'm not implying anything about CTE. It's just some good-natured ribbing.

My, you are a sensitive soul. If you are looking for "ridicule" I suggest you go back and look at almost any of John's dozens and dozens and dozens of posts in the months running up to the match. This is just some good-natured ribbing. I think I've earned the right to do a little of that after having absorbed months of abuse.

Thanks, Neil.

I'm thinking T-shirts now.

I for one think you've handled yourself admirably since the match. I'd have shouted it from the rooftops, rubbing his nose in it with relish. I've never known anyone in the history of sport behave so poorly as Barton did in the run up to this match, and he deserves a good kicking for it. That he crawfished so pitifully speaks volumes of his character.

Seems like he's come up smelling of roses, though. He manages a thick skin AND a teflon coating, which takes some doing. :D

The scoreline flattered Barton tremendously. That he is taking positives out of it makes him an even bigger fool than I had him down for.

Actually, you're right. And the photos are a bit funny for sure. Hopefully, John learned the old saying from this, i.e. "He who laughs last, laughs best".

looooooool

Hilarious. If those don't convince Barton to work on his mechanics, nothing ever will.

It should be noted ChicagoRJ thinks Barton has a good stroke. He's another one challenging me to big money match-ups lol.

Ehmmm.. What match were you watching? Mr. Barton did not almost beat Mr. Figueroa. It was a fairly decisive victory in a long race of onepocket.

If you call 9 - 6 decisive, I guess you're right. Don't be confused, Lou seemed to have control of the majority of the match but screwed the pooch finishing on several games. Lou had a few untimely scratches that hurt badly. John had some favorable rolls that tied up Lou. With that said, had John not dogged a hand full of those really easy shots, it could have gone the other way. It was a really strange match. Lou kind of dominated the play, could have easily won badly but at the same time, could have lost. Weird.

When you have a stroke like John's, though, you miss easy balls. Especially under pressure. If they were to play again (without Barton putting some serious effort into improving his mechanics) the same kind of easy balls would be missed.

No question. Could you point to where I stated JB would likely win the next match?
