Vigor shaft

Hi,

Anybody here already playing with the Vigor shaft? They're advertising it as shaft with very low deflection. It's supposed to play really well. I recently ordered one but due to a busy schedule I have not had the chance to really give it a good testrun. Currently playing with the mezz WD700 (before that I used HPII and 314).
Really curious to how the vigor shaft compares.....

I think its the low deflection shaft developed by Concept Cues, Corey Deuel was using it last I heard. Any idea how they are suppose to be low deflection?

I have one that I got a few months ago. I've seen some of the older ones and I think they've changed the ferrule design recently. The old ones I've seen have 1" ferrules, mine is only 1/2". In terms of deflection, it is a little lower, but it isn't like a predator or OB. Other than the short ferrule, there isn't much else they've done that I can tell that makes it low deflection. Take any cue and put a 1/2" ferrule on it and that's pretty much the deflection you'll get with the Vigor.
The shaft I thought was pretty nice though otherwise. It is not laminated, and the shaft wood quality was excellent. My shaft for a 3/8x11 pin weighed in at 4.2oz. It is a stiff shaft due to the taper and graphite core. I don't believe the graphite core runs the length of the shaft, it goes from the joint and stops like 8" from the tip. I would say the shaft is similar to the Mezz HP2, but with more deflection.

I have not heard about Vigor shafts yet. Could it have been mispelled and it was meant to be Viagra shaft ?:yikes:
