I'm selling this 1968 Ginacue 17B.
Ernie refinished it in 2001 and it's been in the safe since then. Check out the stacked veneers in the boxes.
The cue weighs 19.25 ozs. Shafts are about 12.8-13 mm.
The price is $3700.

this one was always my favorite Ginacue before Ernie retired
When hecame back I ordered one very colose to this

I was at hard times and he had a new edition one like this to
kick off his return to cue making

This was the best looking cue of all his first editions in my opinion

Dean,
You are correct, he had a new equivalent of this cue at Hard Times that he donated to the winner of the tournament (Swanee won).
This was Ernie’s return to cuemaking, and he and his wife Luz attended. I have several pictures of the event.

The cue was the first with his new (current) logo, and was the first using his serial number sequencing.

I acquired the cue about 15 years ago, along with the original case from a gentleman who lives in Germany.
I still have the cue in my collection.
(And a letter from Ginacue).

Will, I is confused.

I also owned this cue back in the day (mit Ernie case) for a few years, albeit with a SS joint and linen wrap. The logo is not his current logo, no? I'd also ask if Ernie was using a numbering sequence back then?

In any case it's beautiful cue. My wife gave me a cue based upon this design for our 10th wedding anniversary and I treasure it to this day.

hi will
i was at hard times with Verl horn at this tournament
Wehad spent several days with ernie at the new shop and I placed an order for one of these cues

8 points etc,not exactly like this one but close

I tried to buy your cue (to be) at the tournament

i also met Rick Lansberg and Richard Akimoto ,both who became very good friends

i believe we met Terry Mullenhour (spell check) and he bought several cues from us

What a time we had,I think Verl drove us back to Las Vegas where he introduced me to Jerry and Laurie Franklin,I bought or ordered two dozen South west cues for $135 each ,new
but more importantly I made 2 great friends

I ended up playing one pocket with don williams and winning a bundle, only to be invited to play golf,
this led to meeting Eddie Kelley and playing gold with him

How is that for 2 days out with Verl, Funny but I bought a cue just like this one made by Billy Stroud
with his initials and the seller maintained it was a Gina

We also met Mary Kinneman,(a tremendous pool person) and her husband Freddie who owned the Cue topia
at Swenson and Twain. Mary was and is one of the smartest pool people in the world,
I was glad to see her commenting on some one pocket matches recently

If you ever get to thinking that women can't gamble, wait till you run into Mary

Every time i used to stop by there they had cues for me.to buy

Sounds like a lifetime of action and a lifetime ago. Every minute of every day
Verl and I were in action

only once did i make a bet without asking advice from Verl and I lost that bet
after it was over he said"why didn't you ask me?"

I replied"just stupid"we laughed.

Funny but that one bet was so obvious to everyone but me that I got the reputation for
being a guy who didn't need the best of it to bet

I loved that rep

Dean,
I wish I had been there, sounds like an outstanding trip.
By the way, I grew up with Donnie Williams in a (very) small town in Ohio, north of Columbus.
We played thousands of hours together when we were young.
He eventually moved to Las Vegas and became a stellar card player, and worked in a casino.
Donnie passed away 4-5 years ago, back in Ohio.
Hope all is well.
