Yes they are/were.

The Carl cues were a special 'private line' deal, made by
Helms organization for Carl - Adam/Helmstetter did this for
a few people.

Carl choice to advertize his line as 'the hardest hitting cue',
a curious choice IMHO.

IIRC - Helmstetter Carom cues were 'always' available through Adam,
it was only the CCS that were exclusive

This is certainly correct, that is eaxtly what the CCS stands for. Helmstetter made a number of these cues to a higher standard than the Normal 3-Cushion cues made by Helmstetter cues at the time. The shaft material was used was suppose to be the best they had for the CCS cues.

I have seen 5 of the CCS cues over the last 20 years some were great and some were equal to a standard Helmstetter.;)

OK, I guess you implied that in your other message, but I didn't think that's what you were saying... thanks.

I will have another image of the butt end as requested later on Tuesday and maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to settle this mystery.

Thanks to everyone for the history lessons...

PS- How about if you let me know what you will be looking for before I get the image up, so I'll know exactly what I should be capturing, and so there's not much of a chance of misreading the image somehow, and to prove to myself that you really do know what you're looking for. ;)

to prove to myself that you really do know what you're looking for.

Look I tried to give you some information, at ever turn you want to dispute it. I am only trying to help you, either way the cue is not Valuable, Rare, or anything else. I have nothing to gain in any way, I have only tried to help. Whether you post the photo or not is up to you!!

Have a great a day!!

I thought I might be pushing it a little with that comment, but was half joking, too. I said it that way because some of your earlier comments seemed misleading, like when you said that there should be a signature between the points if it was a Helmstetter... then I find out that they were not all signed like that.

I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to cover the bases so I'll have a better idea. Thanks for the help.
