Hey guys, I am new to this forum. I just picked up a vintage mali cue with the green logo in pretty good shape. it has a couple of imperfections in the finish and there's SOME wobble to the cue, not too much. There are pictures of the same cue here...

I picked it up for $30 with a hard case but a friend of mine told me that he thinks this is some kind of collectors cue and that it could be worth money. Does anyone know anything about this stick?

I dont know that much about cues but from the looks of that Mali (which i do remember) you got yourself a great cue.

Ill take it for a hundred if you wanna get rid of it

As far as the model number, no idea. I have not had too much luck in researching older Mali's online, but the Blue Book of Cues 3rd Edition I think, does have some examples of series. I can check it later today if you have not received an answer as to model number. As far as the age, I learned here on AZ from "sfleinen" that the smaller green logos are American made, and IMO better quality than the lower end quality and playabilty that has been put out in the last 15-20 years or so.. Good luck!!

i collect mali cues. i actually have this cue. it's the late 70's early 80's. if you had one in original condition it might bring 300- 400 dollars

Really you stole the cue............LOL:grin-square: play with it and enjoy it it's a great cue to own worth 250 to 300.

Is this the same cue that is on sale on Ebay right now with a brunswick hard case for $249.00?? Good luck with your sale.

Mali Pool Cue

Yeah, I was going to play with it when I got it but if its worth that much its too good to play in my hands.
Thanks for your input guys

Nice pick up. I bought a Mali as my first ever cue when I was a kid.....I was beaming :)

Play it. I love playing all my cues, even the very old ones. Just take care of it and don't leave it unwatched when you are at the hall. Some cues have a little spirit in them and you never get to feel it when its in the case or on the wall;).

Nice old cue!!! One of the best playing cues I ever had was a Mali. I played with it for years. The cues I build now were inspired by the way that old Mali played.
