I actually got to play with this cue when I stopped to see Mike on my recent cross-country travels. He's being pretty nit-picky in his description as I never noticed any of the things he described. I did notice how freakin' nice it played though!!! GLWS Bro! ;)
 
to be brought back to mint this cue will need 350 to $400 of investment. and the slight roll of the butt no matter how small means the its the begining of a future problem, and can never be a collector. I'm interested but not at that price
 
I wanted this cue when classic cues had but you got it before me , price to high now, but still love the cue. GLWS

Let's judge the cue on its merits. Rare 5 veneer, beautiful birdseye, cortland... if you aren't interested there is no reason to knock the cue. A slight roll in the butt doesn't make it firewood, if it rolls true without pressure that should be fine. Besides who pushes down on the buttcap while rolling, could just be in imperfection in buttcap.

I have 2 scruggs cues I bought from Tim in the early 90s, and have the original sales receipts. They are great cues.

Bottom line, nice looking cue and good luck with sale.

Or, more likely it's the wrap that would be the cause. I'll bet the cleaning and pressing Tro suggested it needs would take of the issue.

Not really , I was trying to buy it for a week , they told me a price, I was happy with , then they came back saying they had a guy that they're going to do a multi cue deal with, you im guessing, and that was that. No lesson , just unlikely. I bought another Webb the next day. So I made out and your trying to sell a cue for how long now, months.

here you go

Search scruggs hoppe in June of this year. Cue has sure bounce around alot since then.
