***Vintage Tascarella Brazillian Rosewood***

I'm thinning back a few of my older cues and here is another beauty. This is brazilian rosewood with brown phenolic ringwork made by Pete Sr. around 1978 and I just had it completely refinished by him last year. What's amazing is that both old growth shafts are still full 13 mm and dead straight with old micarta ferrules. The cue is in pristine condition and a fantastic player, cue has not hit ball since the refinish. Weighs 19.8/20.0 oz, joint is phenolic, not ivory. SOLD!!

Hey Doug,
Nice find :)
Is this a pj Tascarella? At least I can't see any points. Awesome looking cue :ok:

Nice Piece

Doug,
You are the vintage Tascarella king! Great offerings lately. I wish I could make some moves right now.

I'm not sure if the cue is a one piece or not, I would say probably not.

Lu, great meeting you this weekend, keep in touch.

The cue is not one piece. It has a maple handle. I have pics somewhere with teh wrap off. I owned this cue for several years.

Isnt this a good price for a tascarella cue? Is it cheaper because of the age? Not flaming, just curious. Not real familiar with the price range.

Yea !! It's a good price !
With Pete making the cue in 78 and Balabushka died in 75 chances are ALL the wood and parts that made this cue belonged to George Balabushka.
Pete bought all of George's stuff after he died . This is about as close to being a Balabushka without being a Balabushka as it will get ! FYI Pete was taught how to make cue's from George ..
Nice cue !!

I bet this baby hits 'em "pretty" sporty...............

Shouldn't last too long at this price.

Yeah it's a good price. if by "cheaper" you mean cheaper than what you've seen, there's probably 2 reasons:

1) Its a little plainer than most

2) Doug has it priced to sell.

The fact that its an early Tasc sure doesn't hurt the cue, probably a little bit of the opposite. This is a nice collectible stick that probably plays great too, and at that price, one could defiantly buy it to play with.

Guys this is an awesome cue! Good luck on the sale Doug. If I wasn't knee deep in wood I'd be all over it.

Thanks guys for all the compliments, I have had a ton of trade offers on this one, but haven't struck a deal yet

Thanks,

Doug
