I used VP 3D for YEARS. I lived it, but list the disk. It's a useful training tool.
If VP4 is free somehow, I'll be jumping on it!
When I didn't have a pool table at home I played these games..now why bother lol

Agree completely with WVPoolPlayer. This game is amazing. I used to be pretty good at VP3 (playing Steve and Jeanette Lee in the beach house or whatever) but totally forgot about the game over the years.
Glad to see they made another one, and I signed up last night and won my first tournament. Is anyone else here a 2000+ type player?
Is the Urvile??
welcome aboard
I've got the offline version but I can't seem to get facebook to log me in to play online. Do you have to go through facebook to use it?
Thanks
i'm a 2000+ player for the offline version...just tried online and won a few games but there are some real good players on there.
I need to turn off the ghostball aiming when playing offline to get better online.
you dont need facebook to play just click this link http://vponline.celeris.com/vp4onprod
Its not a game.......Its a simulator............try it before you knock it
I was playing the first virtual pool over 20 years a go. Lol its a fine game but I'm a pool player so if given the opportunity I would rather actually play pool lol guess your more of a video game player then a pool player.
I guess you would also rather have SIMULATED sex then real sex lol smh
Airline pilots also practice in simulators for the reason it reacts like the real thing or as close to it.. You said you played this 20 years ago, Well Steve Chaplin has come a long way in 20 years, You would be suprised how much different this has come over the years.........Nobody said it would replace real pool, nothing can do that.. Its a great learning tool.....Try it before you knock it
this is how i got it to work also.
i have the offline vp4 installed...i went to the link above and found my old celeris login i used to make the vp4 purchase years ago, and it downloaded what appeared to be a whole new version of vp4 and popped an 'online vp4' link into my start menu.
it's almost like the online version is a whole new client, which i guess makes sense as it's available for free with some limitations.
lol airline pilots are in charge of peoples life !! lol that's why they have to practice on a simulator. If I miss a shot it's no big deal.. if you wreck and airliner it's millions of dollars and peoples lives. Your comparing apples and oranges. i'm sure it's a good game. My point only was if I'm at my computer and I have a pool table in the next room.. I'm going to play REAL pool. Thats it.. I played it when I lived in a little apartment and had no pool table. I'm sure there are things you can learn on it . How to play certain lay shots and shots and the general physics of english work. but it can't take the place Of holding a cue and actually feeling how hard or soft or how much spin to add. I can shoot a shot and make the cue ball go four rails and land in a small are. I can do that because I shot it a million times. a simulator won't teach you that. knowing how to shoot a shot and physically having the ability to do it or two different things. I'm fortunate enough to have an excellent playing table in my home. So for me I'm going to actually play the game given the chance. I play golf on my computer because I like golf but can't play every day or can afford a course at my home lol that's the difference I'm talking about.
