Anybody tried VP Mobile yet? It's by Celeris, the company that also makes VP3, and it seems to be equally realistic, at least as far as I can tell on my iPhone. Using your finger rather than a mouse is a drawback, but it's still fun. There's even an online competition mode.

I haven't tried it, but the owner of Celeris has been my best friend for 30+ years , Steve Chaplin - known as Tall Steve - a great guy and a very good pool player.

Steve worked for Lockheed as a computer engineer out of college and was one of the pioneers of high speed simulator graphics. When Steve was developing the original Virtual Pool game almost 20 years ago, he called me up to come over to his office to try this game. I couldn't believe the realism of the game. Now I'm sure Virtual Pool seems crude compared to today's versions. Interplay was the original publisher, but Celeris was the original developer.

The moble version of VP3 has been selling like hotcakes and he has an I-Pad version that's one of the better selling apps.

Steve is busy right now working on Virtual Pool 4. This version is a huge project - him and I were going out and playing pool quite a bit - but for the last few months he's been working non-stop on the new release. I expect it wil be well worth waiting for. It should be done pretty soon.

I have it and I think it is one of the better pool games out there. The draw is a little touchy but all in all a good app

I've been playing with it on my iPod Touch. Good game.
