Visiting Nashville - What's up on Sundays?

Hi All,

My wife has a conference in Nashville weekend of the 12th/13th of May. I am going with her and will have nothing to do all day Sunday 5/13. I would love to get together with one or more AZers and if there's a tournament on that sunday, I would be interested in playing in it. I think we're staying somewhere near the Grand old Opry.

Who are the nashville-ites participating on this board???? I look forward to meeting you. If no one is available, a list of places to play would be helpful.

I'll should be able to meet up with you and play some if you'd like. JOB's is the best place around and is only a short drive away.

I met Hambone when I visited Nashville and I would definitely take him up on his offer. We went to JOB's and he told me where to go for a taste of Nashville the next night. Make sure you try out some brisket at the barbecue place on the main drag. I think the street was Broadway.

Yes, JOBS is right down the street from Opryland. It is actually (if I remember correctly) one exit away from the Opryland Exit off of Briley Parkway...(make a right off the exit) and JOBS is roughly a mile down on the left. I live in VA...but I could drive you there today if I had to. You'll have a good time there, guarantteed.

Haven't met Hambone, but I'll have to get in touch next time I make a trip home.

I have just made plans to spend the afternoon with Hambone. I'm pretty psyched about meeting him and seeing JOBs. Oh yeh, and spending the weekend with my wife . We're celebrating our 22nd anniversary that Friday. I'll report back.

I live about 40 mins north of Nashville and JOB's is definately the best place. They have a full bar, food, and several 7ft. and 9ft. Diamonds.I don't think they usually have much going on Sunday's 'cause everybody is at Cookville. I know on Sat. nights they have a tournament. Usually 8-ball but a couple weeks ago it was 9-ball for some reason. I met up with Hambone there once and he's a real nice guy. I've also had the pleasure of meeting the infamous Hal. Have fun in the Music City!

Yeah, take the Gallatin RD exit about 2-3 miles up afrom the Opry and as Matt said take a rt and it is less than a mile on the left. I have spent many nights in the luxurious Madison Square Inn across the road from JOB's. I haven't been in a few years and I would really like to get the chance to get back out there.

Cool. The more the merrier. As it stands now I will be there between 2 & 3 on that Sunday and I'm free for dinner and beyond. I would like to get there earlier but Hambone was nice enough to offer to pick me up and those are the times he's available. I am only free to play on Sunday so Saturday night is out. I also met Hal briefly at DCC.
