Congratulations to both ladies on some fine play!

I have long known of Vivian's reputation as a fine barbox player willing to go head to head with the men gambling but I definitely underestimated both lady's ability to move One Pocket style on the table. They had as tough of a safety battle going in one game as I have ever seen this side of Nick Varner.

Congratulations to Vivian for the win and Kelly Fisher for a fine runner-up performance!

I've always been pulling for Vivian to win when she's on tv because she is such a showman and good for the sport. Is she like that when the cameras aren't on?

No clowning in the finals

I have heard she is a fun person when the cameras are off too but no first hand information. She wasn't doing any clowning or talking to the railbirds that I noticed in the finals today. Both ladies seemed very focused and hungry for a win.

I liked their playing style on the short track with all of the traffic better than watching them play on nine footers. The WPBA might want to take note but I'm afraid the games taking longer is the opposite of what the WPBA thinks the general public wants.

Very noble post for you to write, ShootingArts. They both were a credit to themselves today in those matches and both very exciting to watch since they are great shotmakers.

And yes, Vivian is just as animated in person off the table as she is on the table. Maybe even a bit more sarcastic off the table. She holds no punches and tells it how it is. But being that way makes her very affable and personable.

yes she is. i have known Viv for many, many years, Probably bout 20 years altogether. She has played in many events I have run and we have played both 9 ball and 1 pocket many times. When gambling, she bites alike a pit bull but when it is over she is gracious and fun.She is a great personalilty and the older she gets, the more fun she is.

She will never let me live down the fact that I was the ne who staked Ronnie Allen a few years go when she beat him playin a race to four for $500. Yes it was one pocket! yes, I thought we were stealing! She was the happpiest girl in the world too. I was not so happy! Ronnie was near suicidal!
