Well Thursday after noon we got there right in time to play a few practice games and jump in some mini tournaments. I didn't shoot too great in the mini tournaments, but got some good practice for the singles competition in the morning.
Singles started out good Friday morning with a forfeit and a bye right off the bat.
I won the next two matches 3-0 and the last match to win my bracket 3-1. After that it went downhill and I lost 3-0 and 2-1. I ended up 9-12th in a pretty tough field. I got a savings bond for that.
Team started Saturday at 11:45 for us and we never lost a game in that match. We (Hustlin Usa) were in the minors and won the next two matches by a pretty big margin. The following match we had to win to play for the hill in our bracket and we lost badly. The other team was guarunteed second place when we left today. In the loser's bracket we won two matches to win the losers side and advance to the final 8 bracket with no loses. We went two and out in that to get 7-8th and some trophies, cases, and savings bonds.
Justin "Slick" Brandt from South Dakota took the Major singles title from Ryan Stone in a close match.
There was a lot to do there this year like: Artistic pool, Speed pool, instruction from Jerry Briesath, Dr. Cue and Dave Pearson put on a great trick shot exhibition.
The tournament went pretty good and I got to meet some AZ members.
