Waiting for Shane at Jay's

So I see this post by Jay that he was going to pick up Shane at the airport. I shot off a PM to him asking him what his plans were with SVB as I had always wanted to meet him and watch him shoot some balls. Much to my surprise, Jay sent back a PM saying why don't you come with me and pick him up at the airport since he had a brief layover in between flights at the LAX. :woot: I had visions of sweating a big-game match or maybe even matching up with him cheap somewhere. :smile-square:

I couldn't get to Jay's quick enough to start my adventure for the night. As it turned out, the adventure was just listening to his stories and getting beat like a dog at Banks and One-pocket while waiting for Shane to call. And admiring the patio tent setup in the backyard on a layer of pallets (to avoid flooding in rain). It turned out that SVB had delays on his flight from Toronoto where he had won 7.5K for the USA/Canada match so he ended up staying at the airport to make his connecting flight to Indonesia. Sigh, so much for my much anticipated evening :p Actually, I realized the anticipation and Jay'stories was the whole point. Perhaps next time! I would love to have another non-visit with Shane again :thumbup:

Thanks Jay, it was fun hearing your stories, and getting railroaded into these non-rotation games!
 
You'd probably been better off playing Jay on his pinball machine than banks and 1 hole on his Diamond in his living room. (that is if he's willing to move his 5000 DVD's away from it!)

Meh, he's probably got that thing wired too. ;) :p
 
Thanks for coming by Chris. Sorry it didn't work out this time. Maybe next time. At least I got to play some Banks. It's true I never play on that table, unless someone comes over.

I wanted to get you on the table with Shane. Def Jam 1 and 2! That's the match-up of the century! We need to stream it all over the world. :thumbup:

You fell for the old "Shane's coming over" hustle too? Last time Jay did that to me he took me for $200 playing banks. :)

Ya, Its a super clean one too. I think from the 70's? It looked pretty cool.

i have 15 pins, i'm ready, all windows are open. I'm a B player at pinball, I saw the champions once-i have no chance. i just love to play. i will post pics of them some time

If you have the ole classic 'Joker Poker', I'll empty out! I had that one in my house game room some years ago and made it my wench! Many of these new ones, with all the ramps, silly holes and multi balls just don't float my boat - too gimicky IMO.

Yep, I fell for it. Still trying to get the hook outta my mouth. He did say Shanelle was coming over tonight ... :eek:

It's a "Pool Sharks" machine, circa early 90's. I bought it at auction over ten years ago and put it in my poolroom. People still played it too!
