New Esoteric Cue

Chopped Cocobolo/Curly Maple FS with Kielwood Shaft. What is a chopped FS Sneaky Pete?

When you purchase a SP Blank they have what i call "pimpy point heights" that are closer to the middle of the cue than the nose in some casees. IMO ugly!

So what i do is chop 5 inches off the nose, insert a 3/4" tennon on the butt and then install a butt sleeve and cap.

Then retaper the butt to my parabolic profile on the saw butt tapering machine.

This brings the points closer to the nose,
which in my view is a better visual porportional look! That is what you see here. It...

Out of curiosity, why don’t you just use longer dowels for your blanks if you want the points up higher? I suppose it might be the amount of time if you are doing a long tenon for rings.

I dont not build FS blanks. I buy them for making SPs. Now and then i will build six to have in the shop. They are in a price range where my average cue tip customer can afford, but can't afford my high end customs!
