sorry no im not, thats why i tried to make my name look ..... different. Im sure someone like him wouldnt attract attention to himself

I don't know how Gordon would act and wouldn't guess.

It was the "I am" part that fooled me.

Thanks

Kevin

I am with you...why would you call yourself Gordan Hart if you are not him?

that is really poor taste -- I think I am going to change my AZ handle to "IamERNIE_G" because I collect ginacues...

sorry for the off topic post -but I really think he should change his name as to not mislead people - or be forced to change his name by Mr. Wilson

I Googled Gordon to see if he was still alive and was kinda looking forward to getting some stories out of him (until he got sick of having complete no-nothings tell him his business and quit AZ like most makers and players do LOL).

Oh well.

On the other hand. This thread produced 2 GREAT Viking cues.

Thanks

Kevin

that is very nice, did you remove the wrap?

Yes - I was on a quest to find a Burton Spain blanked Viking - the only way you can tell is to remove the wrap to see the way the handle is constructed. This wasn't one, but it is a Palmer shop built forearm - quite a mystery as to why Viking would use it.

This cue was made in 1967 But who knows how long the blank used for it was in Gordon's possession.

Jay,

I agree that is a Spain Viking - the only one I've ever seen. This is exactly the type of cue I knew existed and was in search of when I stumbled onto the Palmer Viking.

Viking built their own blanks later on but not full splice - then they also used plastic veneers etc.

This was a great find. I know there are more out there but I've not seen them.

I friggin gave up. I think everybody sold them at yard sales or something.

I was not focused enough when I was first collecting - it was like" monkey see, monkey bid".

I got this one not too long ago off the 'bay

Not really looking to sell or trade it but you never know, it'd have to be a great deal!

That's my point! That was then, this is now. Then you were a green rookie (like I am now), now you are a savvy collector with big fat knowledge and connections. We (love that I insert myself in here) can do it, we'll come up with copious Spain/Vikings and maybe even a few more Spain/Palmers.

You have the means and opportunity, all you need is the motive. That's where I come in. I'll sit around and feed you coffee and tell you stories while you grind away in emails and on the phone, and when the Spain/Vikings start pouring in, I'll help you dispose of them (more "we").

It will be great. I'm coming over. How do you take your coffee?

Thanks

Kevin
