For a cue wrap.

I have seen the offers for the textured black leathers; however I want the old-style smooth black calf skin leather for my wrap.

If you have a piece (or two in case I screw up) please let me know. I have a template.

Thanks!

Try Tandy leather stores. They have a wonderful variety of leathers. All colors. All thicknesses.

Also check with KOINNKID (Troy) he may be able to help you. GL in your search.

Here are a few suggestions:

One well known cue maker uses auto seat leather that he purchased from a car company.

Go to a store such as the Goodwill or a garage sale and buy a leather coat or jacket.

An old retired sofa or chair.

Those are great ideas.

Car seat leather (and furniture leather as well) are a bit too thick for a cue wrap; however there are tons of out-of-style leather jackets plaguing the racks for Goodwill and Salvo's... Most of which are cheap lambskin which is quite soft and smooth.

I have to see where one is around here.

The cool thing is, you might find a piece of leather with a nice 'patina' to add to the vintage look...

Thanks for the idea!
