Thanks for asking.

The cue to the left is my Paul Mottey.

Black leather wrap with ivory diamonds in butt and hourglass snakewood inlays between diamonds.

Eight (8) sharp snakewood points.
Ivory inlays in each point.

I tried to take some digital photos of it earlier, but really struggle in getting good lighting without using the camera's flash.

Sounds pretty, please shoot some pics my way when you get your camera thing worked out.

Not sure if John ever had the cue or not, but I do recall him having one a couple of years ago. It might be the same one. It is virtually unplayed and in perfect condition.

I like your taste :)

Joss West and Mottey, I like your taste. Here are a couple of cool Joss West and one Mottey.

Just curious, because I happened on John's old site today, and I saw that cue, then I saw this thread; same cue. FYI, in 1998, that cues was $4,180, i.e. someone steal it!

Man you are good. I remember seeing the cue now that you mention it, and I looked back at his website. I believe it is the cue I have for sale.

Cue from John Wright

I still have the original mailed price list and photos from John Wright on this cue (or its sister). Not at home, so I have not had a chance to check it out.

Hi Duc. I was just showing these guys the cues since these guys have good taste in cues. I don't get many people talking up Strouds work so I do appreciated when I hear the talks :)

Cuenut and Robert have some special cues there.....classics.

But of course, anything of mine is for sale at the right price :)

This is a nice JW. I have considered just socking it away along with the Runde and Schick and sitting on them until the kids are out of college (they are in 1st through 7th grades righ now). I'm sure they will appreciate quite a bit during that time period.

Thin out the herd - Joss West

The John Wright mailing dated 10-1-92 has this Joss West cue listed at $3,300.00 - #26. The wrap is a darker linen, so if this is the same cue, it has been re-wrapped. Description under the photo states:

"Joss-West
8-point
ivory butt plate
Snake Wood
(2) 13 mm
Great Buy
20 oz"

Palmercollector has quite a few of the Wright mailings on his website, but he is missing the 10-1-92 listing.

As noted in one post, in 1998 John had the same cue listed for $4180. Again I don't know if it is the exact same cue or not, rewrapped or not, but mine is perfect. I still think its a steal at $3300, whatever it sold for in the past.
