Warping Cues

I have several cues, that have warped over the last 3 years, I can not figure out what is causeing the damage. I keep them all stored in a Guiseppi case, in a closet in the middle of the house, there is very very low humidity, they are not exposed to temperature changes, these are very high quality cues that have warped, (Black, Rundee, JossWest, Cognoscenti...) the only cues that have not warped are a Meucci and a Dufferin. What can be causeing it?

My question to you is
#1 are they lying perfectly flat
#2 leaning against the wall at 10 to 30 degrees
#3 standing perfectly straight up and down.
Some people say they should be laying flat
Some people say they should be perfectly straight up and down
I guess you could take the warped ones and try hanging them for a year or two in the closet and see what happens. Cant hurt them anymore!!!!

I've seen warping caused by a case whose tubes were not straight. A shaft can warp overnight in such a case. You can test the case by taking a warped butt or shaft and inserting it into the case at various orientations (one o'clock, three o'clock, five o'clock, etc.). If the warped butt or shaft hangs goes in easily in one orientation and sticks in all of the others, then the case itself is warped. An analogy is taking a curved cavalry sword and trying to put it in its scabbard backwards.

As I recall, Guiseppi cases have pretty loose tubes, no binding at all. it sounds like less than excellent cue quality in the circumstance described.
What kind of cues are they? were they new when you got them?

Too humid or too dry can be a big problem for cues. Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Just to clairify, it is the butt of the cue, specifically the forearm, that is warping.
