Wax removal

Whats the best chemical to remove wax from slate? I have already melted off all but a lite residue, just need to totally remove this. Thanks

Very easy with lacquer thinner Rob, scrap of excess wax then wipe off with a well soaked rag. Easy

Same way with the Turpentine, only...I likes the smell of it:thumbup:

I don't like the smell of either one. Use ventilation in any case to get rid of the fumes. and no smoking or open flame, the fumes are combustible.

Lacquer thinner dries quicker, make sure you dry the rags outside before disposal... Safety first.
