Thanks yea I just wanna learn more like I wanna learn the rails better like banks and hits also shot drills ect I'm pretty good now just wanna get better

If i had a gift for writing i would put together a book called miss. It would be focused on why we miss and how to learn from them. I learn from my misses but i am convinced im missing something i keep doing it. Frustrated as hell with the near rail.. lol

You like reading? I know some people just get bored with it, but for anyone who's starting out, this book is seriously the best thing out there. There's no DVD like it (though someone should make one).
It's called the 99 Critical Shots in pool and will show you the most common situations in pool and how to make the ball and play position. There's some in there on banks too.

BTW, some random advice... bank shots are flashy but good players try to avoid them as much as possible. So when you buy your DVDs, I recommend you don't start out with banking videos. Banks shots are very touchy and require you to know a lot about speed control and english. If you haven't mastered that stuff then you might be lost in the video (and anyway you wanna get good at that stuff because it's more important than being good at banks).

Not arguing that "the 99 Critical shots" isn't a good book but it's illustrations
are really dated. If someone could update it to todays standards I'd definately buy another copy.

Rails banks and kicks
By far the best and easiest way i learned were the grady matthews series the finer points of pool. Teaches all the banks and kicking systems.

No I've heard the saying a real player will find his way around the balls and all that what I meant by banking is like learning the rails better so like when someone plays a safty I can know how too get around it I'm a 5 right now I bounce from 5 to 6 I wanna get better

Thanks I use open bridge do that matter that's just what feels best too me and one pockett hmm I've never tired that!

Everyone is going to have varying opinions for sure. If you're looking for improvement and are committed to practicing, given where your game is at right now, I recommend lessons from a qualified instructor. Develop a fundamentally sound stroke and the rest of the game will follow. I've had 4 lessons with Scott Lee, he has been great and he does travel. You may be close enough to St Louis and could see Mark Wilson.
IMHO, the Jerry Brieseth and Dr Dave VEPS DVDs are fantastic.

The CTE/Pro One and SEE aiming systems materials are great values and well worth investing time in. If you have the time and the budget, schedule a lesson with Stan Shuffett in Kentucky to learn Pro One.
It is my opinion no money will be better spent than on lessons from a quality instructor. This can accelerate your learning curve far faster than anything else you do.
