WD700 vs OB Classic?

Has anyone tested the deflection of the two?

I played last year with a WD 700 and liked it well enough. It had a nice, solid hit and in terms of deflection, I found it comparable to my old first-gen 314.

I've since moved on to a Classic Pro and don't miss the 700 much at all. The Pro has such low deflection and a favorable, crisp hit. I am way comfortable with this shaft and am sticking with the OB.

I like Mezz products in general, but something else to consider concerning these two shafts: After getting accustomed to the 11.75mm tip size of the Classic Pro, going back to the WD 700 (12.5mm) seems huge to me. I like being able to sight the CB with the smaller tip and this turns me off from playing with the 700 anymore.

my preference

I find the WD more useful but my wife likes the OB

Agree

The one that you believe deflects less...

I'd buy OB. Tough to beat their product, and they are USA made, and they contribute to this forum, and they are a pleasure to work with, and I could keep going.

OB Cues, do a lot for pool, and for this forum. That's where I would spend my money.

All the best

I second this, plus once you get use to a certain shaft it is nice to know if something were to happen to it , it can be replaced due their consistency.
