Only if Earl control himself. History has clearly shown he cannot. I do not like watching temper-tantrum pool as much as I like high quality pool.
Maybe there is good rivalry between the two, but I would opt for higher skilled players nowadays, mix up, SVB, Dennis O, Busty, Alex for all round play.
You see those matches every week :smile:
Efren vs Earl is the SVB vs Alex P, Sox vs Yanks, Democrats vs Republicas, does not get any better in head to head competition.

This match is one that I have been asking for a good while. I believe it would be a huge draw PPV wise and would be a last dance for these old time rivals. I think it would be one heck of a match to see these guys play either an all around or long sets of 9 ball. We got the hot head and the zen master, its the nuts.
We know Efren cannot break the balls, so he is out as far as 8,9, or 10 ball game, one pocket ok.
Earl on the other hand, lately is not someone who i would pay to watch, sorry.
At the end of the day, TAR is in it to make money, if they see that there is demand for those two have at it.
Earl beat SVB 25-24 last week. He can still play with anybody.
I think Earl/Efren would be a good match if it were a combination of 10 ball, 8 ball, and one pocket. Efren would have more of a chance in such a format.
Any match or game that has Efren in it will have high number of viewers regardless of who he is playing or what he is playing. Only TAR can decide, since they have the experience.
In my opinion, Efren-SVB, Efren-Busty, Efren-Alex, Efren-Dennis might be better option..
Justin has said this many times before, and chose not to repeat himself earlier in this thread, but the bottom line is that dealing with all that Earl entails isn't worth it to him any more. And he doesn't want to be worried about Earl giving up if he is down too far, as it is believed that he has done in the last few years.
