Here is my current playing set-up (as listed in my signature - pictured below):
Playing: Larry Vigas/Musashi VI - Loving this thing @63Kcode
Break: Mezz PB Kai/Ignite G - This thing is an absolute cannon!
Jump: Adam Tengu Jump Cue - lovely cue, with a fragile joint, as explained below...
My jump cue took a nasty knock lately (the joint in the handle has become lose - the extension part, not the main joint), and I was wondering if there are any similar in dimensions/weight to this particular jump cue? I am considering to just buy another Tengu, as it does everything I need it to... Wish I could find one similar in carbon to guarantee a little more longevity...
The Tengu is perfect to me, It's a nice chunk/girth to the handle, is great on longer jumps, and with handle removed is pretty good on the short stuff.
I will probably buy second-hand... Considered a 'Propel' by Cuetec, but it seemed a bit slim in hand in the short time I have tried it - I don't play jumps with the shaft across my chest like many players, I am tall enough to play with a jacked up cue. The short time I tried my friends stick, I found the length of the propel (when full) jarred my wrist awkwardly... when unscrewed (felt a little short)... will give it an extended test soon and make a better judgement.
I am also considering a Kieth Andy 'black jack' which I used extensively before from my friend, and felt comfortable with. I tried a few KouFa cues which were 'Ok' - I almost bought a purple-heart shafted 'Hanshew' which played nice, but was sold before I could barter the price down. Pretty rare and unlikely I will find another like that... Air Rush is off the table, it's too expensive (even second hand here).
Any recommendations for good jump sticks?
