wedge quickchange toolpost holder from ebay

Looks like the usual BXA tool holders to me.
I prefer the Phase II brand but their prices have skyrocketed.

Good Quality

I have used that very tool post, a few times actually. The model you are looking at that comes from Discount Machine are as good as the quality of a Phase II, which I also own. I have seen other import BXA sets that are very cheap, but the set you are looking at, I have owned 3 that I put on various lathes. The lock has a very positive feel, with no slop in the worm whatsoever. If you understand what I mean, when you engage the lock, the handle stays where it is, which means they are machined to a high standard, they hold tight and rigid.

I would definitely buy another and more than likely will buy more.

Thanks, Jon

Thanks for the response,
You have the one from the first link or the second?
I have a feeling(thanks Joey) that I bought the stinker.

Hard to beat the discount machines ones for the price. Especially for what we do with them. If you need to go to a CXA, I would lay out the money for a Dorian or Aloris just for strength. But a AXA, BXA, the better imports work just fine. I always check mine after any heavy cutting. Occasionally I'll find it has slipped a degree or two.
