Wei table target pool shot.

In Kim Davenports Target Pool, the last shot in the book is a pretty cool one. My question is if anyone has ever pulled it off. I'm sure some have, if not try it. I set up a wei table for it.
I tried it yesteray for the first time on a 9 footer. Good equipment, but could nerver get it to come around.

There is normaly a target to try to land on in the top right corner. I just put a ball there to show the theory.

That looks like an extremely difficult shot to me. The left english (as you have it diagrammed) is reverse or "kill" english when it hits that first rail, and to get it over to the second rail with enough speed AND spin left to spin around the table to where the 8 ball is sounds like it would take a professional-level stroke and lightning fast equipment. Can anyone on here claim to be able to do this?

I will say that in the book he says that you cut the ball in and hit it so that the "Cue ball travels about six inches in the air, so that the english takes when it lands." i spent some time on that shot yesterday. On fast equipment.

Also, I don;t know how to post the wei table to be seen in the post. If its easy, I would appriciate someone doing that. Thank you.

BTW, there is a Sticky at the top with the WIE table and it's instructions.

Anyway, here you go:

I think one has a better chance of knocking one of those balls to the floor than executing the shot on a pool table. I bet that on a heated 3c table it can be done tho, assuming the OB doesn't hit the CB again.

I don't think that he is lying about the shot. In the book, its is the last shot in the book. Its in the most advanced section, and he says that he does it in exhibitions. Next time I see Kim down here I am going to see if he would show it. Maybe he'll be at the swanee.

I shot this about 15 times. ONCE, the cueball actually hopped a little and I got to where the yellow arrow ends. That's the best I can do. I'm on a 8' very slow table.

This shot needs a very fast table and rails and it can't be done as shown with the first line being straight.

The cue ball needs some topspin, otherwise the left english would send it near to the center pocket. The topspin will curve the CB noticeably with the power needed for this shot.
