Just found out via PM that a friend of mine has joined AZ. Cuebuilder He's a fine gentleman, fine cuemaker, fine instructor and a damn fine pool player that used to live about 25 miles from me. He moved to Hawaii last year, and I've missed my weekly visits to his shop. His website is still under construction at paradisecues.com but when he does get some detailed shots of his work up, I think many will be impressed.

In any case, Dave is a friend that I've missed talking to. It'll be great to see him on board here at AZB.

later,
Bob

I believe Qbilder's name is Eric, not dave. I don't think they are the same person.

I believe he now lives in Arizona. I am not sure what branch, but definatele in the military.

OK folks, let me get the record straight. My name is Dave. I live in Hawaii. I once lived in Arkansas where I met "Cane" who used to frequent my shop. Before Arkansas I lived in the Chicago area. No, I've never been in the military. They wouldn't have me (sole surviving son). Never lived in Arizona. Never lived in Alaska. I'd like to go there sometime. Never been on easy pool forum. You can find me on the "International Cuemakers Association" website and my own site paradisecues.com which is still not finished. Who has time anymore. Here it is New Years eve and after I finish here will be probably spending most of the evening in the shop.
Anyway, all that said, maybe now you know who I am. At least a little bit. I don't want to be credited for someone elses work or good name. I'll be happy to answer any questions from anyone about just about anything. Some things are sacred. I credit Mr. Chris Hightower for helping me along the way with successful cue building and being a fine gentleman and friend. Bon Nunley ranks right up there too.
Thanks for having me and listening to (reading) my rambles. All questions welcome.

I was laughing

all the time I was reading your Post, Dave. As you probably realize
by now, rumors can fly hot and heavy if they get a chance to ... lol

I really enjoy a cuemaker's perspective about cues or cuemaking, as
well as post from case makers. I don't live that far from Bob, and have
kind of become friends via the internet. How can you not, when he
compliments your playing ... lol (He saw me play in a tournament or 2).

Welcome, and look forward to your posts.

Welcome Dave! Hope you're not too "thin skinned", some of these guys can be brutal!

Just kidding. This is the best forum I've found for pool and especially for cuemakers and enthusiasts. There's a lot of info shared openly here. Some of it's even pretty good! haha Enjoy the group and if you're ever in the Cincinnati area, look me up!

Happy New Years Everyone!

just more hot air!

Hello Sherm,
As a matter of fact, my wife and I will be in Cincinnati the end of March for a convention. Maybe we can do a get-together. Love to meet you.
As far as me being "thin skinned". This old fart has elephant hide.
Thanks, Dave

Dave, nice to have you here and hope to meet you at the expo. ICA member also waldo's cue repairs.

Hi Waldo, Nice to see you here. We plan on being in Houston after Cincinatti. I plan on playing in the ICA tournament if it happens. Hope to meet you there. I may drag a few pieces of curly koa along if I can find some nice pieces between now and then. Things kinda dried up for a while.
Hope to see you in a few months. Happy New Year. Dave

i think some people got cuebuilder mixed up with a guy who frequents the easy pool tutor room named q-bilder from alaska and yes he was in the military.
