Welcome to all new comers! (I joined a month too early. :( I want my name on that list!)

Thanks for the welcome......I'm coming back to pool after a long lay off. You will all start seeing me around the Carolinas in most of the tournaments:)

I play all around the Shaw AFB/Sumter SC area. I consider myself the best player in town, but not many people around here like to gamble. I love to play all games. I came from the west coast playing at Hard Times Sacramento on those great 9' tables, but had to adjust a lot because all I can find around here is bar boxes. Now I love the little tables! Hope to see lots of you in Reno!

I would like to see the newer members post maybe where they are from and what their level of play is. Maybe even mention the name of the pool hall you play at.

Come on out into the AZ Sunshine boys and girls, you won't get sunburned,; just play nice.

WELCOME!

i'm a month early for the list, but i'll play along. i'm from atlanta. when i stoped playing APA i was a 7 in 8-bal and a 8 in 9-ball. i've been playing on an ACS league now for awhile where i have an 8 handicap. I used to play mostly at sharkey's kennesaw till it closed down and now I mainly play out of Mazzy's in roswell while i still get to pool room marietta and mr. cues 2 when i can.

I guess I've been called out. :) Good to see a great pool & billiards forum. Hope I can contribute some here. I'll have to introduce myself: My name is Rich Bowmer, live & play in the Southeastern Idaho, Utah area. Laid off the Pool playing for about 15 yrs. (Had to raise kids) But I'm making a comeback. I've played well in the past (7 time league grand champion). Learned to play from a local World Class player (Jimmie Dawson) during the late 70's to mid 80's. Haven't started playing many tourneys (just sitting back & studying) but, will be at the Utah Open in April. As well as the Gatecity Open in Pocatello Idaho in April as well.
It's good to be back. :)

I'm from Colorado Springs, CO. I work at Sticks and I've played on pretty much every table in town. I've been playing for just under 2 years now.
14.1= 30-40 balls. I didn't count but it went through 3 racks.
9-ball= 3 racks without missing. Early 4-9 combo in the first rack and I broke dry on the 3rd rack so I can't call it a string of a 3.
8-ball= 3 racks on barbox, 2 racks on 9 foot
Snooker= 47pt. Break
One-Pocket= lol I think I ran 3 balls once.
I consistently beat the 7-ball ghost.

40+ hours a week.
McDermott with intimidator shaft moori medium, cuetec jump cue
Areas to improve- Kick safes, Banks, Multiple rail safes and speed control, pattern play (particularly in straight pool), "Hail Mary" shots, emotion
The best part of my game is my stroke
I would like to learn 3 cushion if anyone in the area is willing to teach me.

EDIT: I am not FL

I'm from Huntington Beach, CA and I have been playing a weekly 8-ball game at a friend's house for a couple of years. I have no idea what level I am as a player. I haven't run a rack yet, but I think I am getting closer. I can regularly pocket 4-5 balls in a row. Thanks to this site and studying other places my game has improved dramatically in the last couple of months. I am officially obsessed with pool now. How did this happen? :D

cool idea, I probably wouldn't of posted if I hadn't seen my name in there. I've been playing regularly in a in house league and apa league for the last 2-3 years. I play in Maine and have a nice pool hall where I haven't been charged to play in a long time. I've been skulking around the board for a while looking up info using the search button for a while. Just purchased a new pechauer the other day to try something new other the the joss cue which is pretty much the only cue I've ever played with since I started playing regularly.

Thanks for the welcome

Wow. Look at all those new members. I would love to see all of those people start posting regularly. How about it folks? Don't be shy. Share your knowledge and experience.

Great idea. I don't play much anymore. Now it has become something to do to relax. I'm not sure how I would rate myself though. Maybe a C player? I sold my cues to help my fiance and I get on our feet at the new house but a friend is giving me a great deal on a Black Creek so I might start knocking them around a little more now.
Keep your head down
