Well since I couldn't snatch it up... eBay cue worth the look

Hi Andy,

No apologies needed, I know what you meant. It definitely worth it for some collectors at over 2K easily...it's an old Kersenbrock that have points, exotic forearm, ivory and inlay (definitely a rare). I'm sure someone have already asked him for an end it early price.

Happy Holidays,
Duc.

sorry, that came out wrong, not that you don't know what your doing. Just Kersenbroks have a small, expensive market and this is an old one with points,

apologies Duc

Andy

its very interesting, the spread in value of Davids cues.

Most of the SW type cues he made don't break the $4,000 mark, yet anything unlike the 'cookie-cutter' SW style always seems to fetch more money, even if it is a far more simple cue. And of course, none of them approach what he's been turning out for the last decade or so.

Just interesting, that is all.

Kersh.............$value $2000-2600 no shafts............my 2cents.

What's most interesting is the high bidder has NO feedback! Hmmmmmm, who could it be?

I know what kind of cue it is but just saying a better deal could of been had. At 2K or more know...note sure if it worth it now especially not knowing if the butt is straight or not and not to mention the amount of work that needs to be put in by the right people to get this cue up and running. Definitely will be hard to move on AZ a decent profit...as everyone know what the cue runs for on ebay!!

I'm just surprise that no one offered him $1500 up front to close the deal....either that or the seller is well informed and know what the cue goes for...not to mentioned you have a new ebayer just bidding it up.

I've been at this for long while and sometime it's better to just walk away.

Regards,
Duc.
yeah because jumping up and offering $1500 for something he bought at an estate sale wouldn't tip him off or anything... Lol duh! If someone offered you $1500 for one if your turds you would be running to a crapologist to see if you could get more for it. A lot like what happened last week with that prewitt I found just minutes after it was listed. Coulda had it for $200 but someone tipped off the seller with an offer of nearly a $1000 and next thing you k ow he takes it off eBay, checks with an "expert" and it's back up days later for buy it now at almost 5k...

Well, you never know and it doesn't hurt to ask. I had gotten a lot of great deals by just asking. I probably won't throw a price at him but would ask what he want for it first. No matter what it goes for...definitely a rare find and it's scary to see that the seller placed the cue on the dirt road to just take pics of it. It's bad enough the cue is beat up and the pin is corroded. I wouldn't be surprise if there a roll in this cue given it's condition.

Duc.

Duc, that's a Brass pin. Highly doubtful it's corroded, more like tarnished at best. That can be polished and looking new in all of about 5 minutes...

Until all of you told me what the cue was, I honestly had no idea...

Goes to show that there are still treasures out there.:smile::cool::grin-square::grin:

Well it ended around $280. Dis an azer end up with it? Btw, u asked the seller about it... He paid $10. Had no idea hat he had... Must be nice!

final bid

I watched that cue auction end. It went from 2200 to 2750 in 25 seconds lol. Wish I had that kind of action when I list something on the bay.

Buyer was a Zero-feedback ebayer. May not matter, or, we could see this cue relisted, or, buyer found out what he had and opted to sell elsewhere whilst trying to remain honorable to the ebya community. Of course he may be looking at fees with that last option, but he could also claim non-pay buyer. All things are possible, but I do feel that cue ended almost right on the money value-wise.

Great looking cue other than that zodiac symbol.
