An old friend and I spent just under three hours at Grady's pool room in Lexington, SC this afternoon. Very positive experience, one of the better places I've been in since I moved to South Carolina. About an hour and a half away from me, picked up my friend about twenty minutes from my house. As most of you probably know, all Diamond tables with Diamond lights. Played on the double-shimmed Diamond next to the Snooker table near the counter. It got me three times, IIRC, I'm not used to shimmed pockets, but other than that the table played very well.
We had no trouble at all finding the place and will definitely make more than one return visit for some of the upcoming events. Grady was there and signed my copy of Winning One Pocket, he's one of only two contributors still living, the other being Ed "Champagne Eddie" Kelly. Grady also took the time to talk to us after he was through practicing.
If you're within striking distance and haven't been there yet, I highly recommend the trip as worthwhile.

Eric, considered shooting you a pm, but my friend had to be back in Enoree by 6 pm to run a bi-weekly bar table tournament. Are you coming to Shannon's tournament at Gametime on the 12th and 13th?
