Last week some one asked what everyones Playing Cue was.

Thought it would be interesting to see what the Realistic Value of Folks Playing Cues were. Value could be today in 2005 Dollars.

Know there are some folks on this Forum with High Dollar Cues, but are they Safe Queens, or Playing Cues...?

Value or original buying price?
I bought my cue for $750.
It's worth $750 or more today.

$300 for plainest-Jane Falcon they have. I don't care for elaborate designs or the costs associated with them. It has a beautiful gun-metal grey stain on the butt and plays sooooo well. I love it!

I dont have a big collection but I have 2 cues that I play with on a regular basis

1. 86 Southwest - value: 3000.00
2. 80 Gus Szamboti - value: 8500.00

Ive used "replacement value" instead of realistic value.

I play with an entry level Russ Espiritu Tulip wood cue. $280.00 on ebay BRAND NEW. Best $280.00 I've ever spent. (Add another 350.00 for two Predator 314 shafts from "joerackem".)

My cues are priceless to me. I have no wont or desire to sell any one cue that I have in my possesion.

Pbbbbthaaaaaaatbbbttt!!!

My Cues

My most played with is a $1400.00 Jerry Olivier and my spare is a $900.00 Schon. Both very nice sticks.---Smitty

$250.00 Chad Carter This is the best hitting cue I have ever used. I have always shot with a SHON!!!!!!

My cues at this point are all in the $750-$3000 range. I rotate and play with all of my cues.

value

the cue I currently play most with is my maple, no inlays, cue by DZ. it plays better than anything I've played with. there is no vibration in the butt when you hit balls, and that's with a triangle tip. haha, never thought I'd like them again, but they play REAL well on this cue. pics are in the gallery. :D it kinda makes me wonder if points and inlays weaken the wood just enough to make a difference. I like fancier cues like my cocobolo cue, but this one plays just a hair better imo.

my Jerico that I designed, about $4000, the one that I take to places I don't want to take that one, $1200.

Changed cues...

Playing witha James White rosewood Hoppe style cue...whats it worth? $1700-$2000 maybe. I dont play with anything else because I sold it all off!!

I play with a nice Scruggs. I bought it slightly used for a nice price (thanks Sean !) and now Tim has raised his prices. My kind of cue would cost $1900 from Tim nowadays and I guess my leather wrap would make it slightly over $2k. I still put it in the $1k-$2k category.
