What age did you start playing?

I was about 11, my dad bought a 4 x 8 table and put it in our living room,
at about age 14 we moved it into my bedroom upstairs, I had a nice Brunswick table 5 feet from my bed, is it any wonder I got addicted to the game.

To continue my story, a very strong local player saw me playing in the local VFW hall at age 15 and approached me, he said he was impressed by my shot making ability and offered to mentor me, I met with him weekly for the next 3 years and he took me along to a lot of tourneys.

What age....

Daddy told me I was concived on a pool table,so I guess you could say I
started playing before I was born.

Some of my words are proably mispelled, daddy only made us go to school
until we learned to count$$$$$$$$$

Don't really remember when I started banging the balls around. But I started taking the game serious about a 1 1/2 years ago at 34 for something to do in the winter when I couldn't play golf. Now Golf has taken a backseat to pool ;)

1955 age 12 at the YMCA, then at the pool hall. Quit at 16... discovered cars.

Started again; 1999, age 56 and have played daily, or almost daily since.... except for a period of time about 3 years ago when I just stopped for a year and a half. Didn't play one day and the next day and the next day and the layoff lasted a year and a half. I was busy in the garage with the hot rod.

I started around 10 just banging balls around. Now I am 16 and hope I will continue to play this game for the rest of my life.
