What are the Best Pool Tournaments in Vegas to Play in and Watch ?

I'm with Bill on the Rum Runner. The Andy Mercer is one incredible event. If you're in Vegas near the end of March, don't miss it!
After that, really there is the BCAPL Nationals in May at the Riv. If you are a one pocket fan, the US Open starts May 12th. The Pro Ten Ball starts May 16th. The ACS National event at the Tropicana begins May 7th. Don't think there is a Pro event scheduled this year. APA National Singles at the Riv start April 27th. May be a WPBA event with that. APA National Team event Begins August 18th. Not sure where the Mosconi Cup is this year. May be back at the MGM Grand again in December.
That about it. Once the 8 ball events leave, the town basically dries up till Mosconi. If its in Vegas!

Lyn, are you playing in the singles regional events in March. Just curious if you play in the singles in the APA as well as the teams.

May is a huge month for pool at the Rivi. The BCAPL 8 Ball Nationals are going on and in connection with that down the hall will be the US Open 1 Pocket immediately followed by the US Open 10 Ball happening at the same time as the BCAPL tournament.
Last year the Mezz Tour also had an event at Hard Times in Bellflower, CA immediately before the Vegas events and the Seminole had a tournament at Hollywood Billiards in L.A. immediately after.

Wish I was. When the last qualifier for March was held here in Rochester, only had nine matches in. Tried to sub on three different nights just to get the tenth one in. Found a team. Agreed to play. The opposition never showed. Week did not count in the stats. One week short.
Now that I have my ten matches in, I'm in no hurry to qualify for the October regionals. At the very worst, I'll try for March 2012. My fault. Oh well!
