What are the max run out for 9ball and 10ball?

A guy that lived in Greensboro told me Earl used to stay with him and he witnessed a 23 rack 9 ball run in practice at his house.

Does anyone know what the female record is? im very curious to know how high it is...

That's a good question, I'm pretty sure I've seen Allison Fisher run a 5 pack in a match but in practice I'm sure she or Karen or Jasmin have run 6 or 7.

Years ago a 2nd tier female pro who I won't name told me that she ran an 8 pack in a wpba match, now the thing is she really wasn't that good of a player, I'd only ever seen her run maybe a 2 pack at best. I don't want to call her a liar but.......well I really don't know how to finish that sentence

I think that high runs are very subjective. I've run a 5 pack in 9 ball and just a 2 pack in 10 ball and a 2 pack in 15 ball( if you even called it that at 2 lol) and I think the 2's were better than the 5 because of the game and the table, which was triple shimmed, with deep shelves and a very steep pocket angle.Where the 5 pack was on an average table. So, the equipment says a lot....if the table/balls are dirty the runs become even more difficult.

On another note,I think it's interesting that the break becomes more important on an easier playing table because the B&R percentage goes up. Take that into consideration when setting up a game.

I know that Earl and Ko Pin Yi from Taiwan has ran out 11 racks for 9ball while Wu has ran out about 6 or 7 racks for 10 ball, but I am not sure whether those are the records at the moment. Do you know anyone has better records?
I don't think there is an official record. I've heard of a bar player in the LA area who did 30 in a row.

As for Earl's run of 11, I think it helped that he made 5 nines on the break. If he had been breaking a tight rack, things might have gone differently. I understand it was "rack your own."

Bob

that's the first time I ever heard of someone running more than David Matlock's 28 games on a bar table. (As told by David to me directly).

Personally, I'd go with Dave's story. The 30 story was very short on details.
