What are the oldest and still existing pool clubs in Europe?

Was talking about this topic with some friends.
We know that some pool clubs in Germany and Austria were found in the early 70s.
But we don't know if they are the oldest in Europe.
Has anyone some knowledge about this topic?

You might look into where some of the earliest top European players learned. Tom Storm is a possibility. But I suspect that most pool tables in the early days were added to preexisting rooms.

i don't think that room is still open. the club started by blomdahls father, bk borgen, in the other end of sweden is still open though (and have pool tables). should be around 50 years old.

At least in my area in Austria 3 cushion never was popular, and the first clubs emerged from local inns, that had coin operated pool tables in the back rooms.
The first club was found in 1970 and they played 8 ball tournaments with 70 people on one 7ft coin operated table, with a cue ball that was heavier than the rest of the balls and with a cue that was cut, to manouver around a pillar, that was right next to the table.
But they renamed and moved the club to another location in 1974, but they still exist and are one of the oldest, still existing clubs in Austria.
One of the founders claimed it might be the oldest in Europe, but we don't know if this is true.

This are most certainly 3 cushion tables.
Maybe they installed pool tables later, but I wanted to know about clubs that already started as pool clubs.
yes, that's indeed a carom club.

IMHO in France, pool tables were introduced in existing billard clubs in the 70s .

Had a friend stationed in old WestGermany during the 70's-80's. He played all over the place in straight pool leagues and some action too. The US Army brought pool with them during WW2 and it caught on big time.
