For years I just sprey a mist of just water and then used a white cotton tshirt to clean it. I just got a new Diamond table and I think I want to clean the somonis with something else. What do you all like? Do any of these canned sprey work better then the other ?

Just a cap full of Woolite in a bucket of warm water. Dip and ring out a piece of microfiber towel until it’s just damp and wipe it down. Continue to clean it like this and frequently dipping the towel in the bucket and ringing out real good to get as much chalk and grime off as possible.

This is how I clean mine.

Wet with water and wring out COMPLETELY a micro fiber cloth, then wipe, NOT SCRUB, your cloth.
Fold the clothe 4 ways and wipe 1/6 of table/ cloth surface. Meaning turn the cloth over after each 1/2 of each slate.
Assuming you have 3 slates... you clean 1/2 of each slate with one section of cloth then turn over for a clean cloth surface.

Do not scrub... It's a wipe with mild pressure. And wring out as much water as you can before you start.

Switch to Taom V10 chalk, then gently vacuum about weekly, wipe with damp cloth quarterly thereafter. Probably no need to clean any more than that. My $0.02.
I agree. After I had my table recovered, I started using Taom Pyro, which is blue like my cloth. I use the Simonis X1 and vacuum occasionally. I also occasionally wipe the cloth with a damp rag, but not much comes up. $20 may seem like a lot for a piece of chalk. But it's very clean and lasts a long time.

That is one I never heard before! Thanks

That’s how I do it now and I have a diamond so I don’t have 3 piece slate. It’s one.

I’ve been using taom for a while. I used to use kamui . I don’t consider it a lot at all. I only chalk once in between shots so a piece of kamui lasted me almost 18 months! I’m expecting the same from this.

A damp microfiber towel dragged across the surface (light to no pressure) followed by a a Simonis X1 tool (also light/no pressure)...after every session.

Diamond recommends using a vacuum, but I find it doesn't do as well.

I do the same but I do not use a microfiber.
I use a terrycloth towel.
Since I switch to Taom at home, the table stays remarkably clean.

For the Woolite users…. Do you go back with plain water and a new towel to “rinse” the Woolite out?

No need to clean if the table is maintained. After every 2-3 sessions I vacuum the cloth with my shop vac and a 15" horse hair attachment which keeps the playing surface clean and chalk dust free. Once or twice a year I will wipe it down with an extremely wrung out microfiber towel. If you get grease stains in the cloth, Brakleen applied to a microfiber cloth then dabbed on the stain will remove the stain and not affect the cloth.

I also like to use Woolite on my Simonis 860HR - but find a little goes a long way. I use at most a half of a cap in a bucket of warm water.

After switching over to the Toam V10 chalk, I brush the cloth down once every 2 weeks and then vacuum the mess accumulated down at the end of the table. Then I use the simonis X1 cleaning dohickee to finish up. After that I use the X1 about once a week to tidy up. The X1 didn't do very much back when I was using Masters chalk, but I changed my mind about the thing after switching over to the Toams Chalk.
