I have an idea there are waaaay more females on here than are really posting or responding to the poll...I did find it amazing what someone had said about getting a "mental idea" that when someone is on a forum, they tend to imagine the other people on the forum are the same gender/ethnicity/age/etc.! I know I've fallen into that trap...it's nice to see something like this brought up. Thanks!

Okay. So, for a 2-week period allowed for voting, we come away that the majority of the readership of this forum is male, with a little over 4 percent being female.
I really had no idea that there were not many more females hanging out here and reading. Forums and social media, at least I thought, were more of a thing that females did than males, but in the pool social medial context, the gender is mainly male.
Now I am going to do one more poll about age. I am having trouble deciding what the age cut-off should be, those under a certain age and over a certain age that read the forum. I'm going for 35.
I have a feeling that the majority of readers are over 35, but, again, maybe I'm wrong.
Time will tell, as they say.
