Billiard cloth poll.
Any particular reason you use it compared to other cloth on the market?

Championship Tour Edition

Because it lasts more than twice as long and when it does wear down you do not see any pinholes which makes it look terrible. The playing difference is not much and it is cheaper.

Championship Tour Edition

I changed from Simonis to Tour Edition because of the claim of durability. It does seem to last longer but I am starting to get some complaints that it is too fast.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else is hearing the same.

I have used tour edition on many pool hall tables and as it get older and worn it speeds up. I had the same problem on a snooker table i bought 6x12 came with a cloth like simonis i sent it out to be dry cleaned when i reinstalled it was 10x faster then when it was dirty and it looked new before and newer after.

I like Simonis for playing. I just like the speed of it and how it feels. Tour Edition is smoking fast. And if you spray silicon or some kind of a waterproofer you will have Brunswick Centenial.

But there is a new cloth out now that I believe is made by CL Bailey or Level Best. It feels like it is halfway between Simonis and Tour Edition. Not as stretchy as TE but a little more stretch than Simonis. But the plus side is it is super cheap compared to other upgrade cloths. It is called Velocity.

Infact I feel it is so close that if you took a peice of Simonis and Velocity and put them next to each other. You'd barely be able to tell the difference if you could at all.

Level Best is behind Velocity. I didn't add it to the poll because it's too new - only been available since Feb 07.

Championship Tour Edition. Wears one heck of a lot better than Simonis in my room. Comparable price. We've been extremely happy with it.
TE is actually heavier then the advertised 24oz weight which helps with durability. I don't know about comparable pricing with Simonis so you might want to shop around next time you need cloth. BTW, nice room you have there.
