What constitute a ban on this forum..?

Since eBay has its rating system which somehow tells us how trustworthy the sellers are, I'm curious to know how many of my fellow forum members think the AzB's "Wanted/For Sale" is a bit of a gamble.

From what I've seen, bad news travels FAST here on the AZ. I would have to say people would be better protected through transactions here than on EBay.

Its only a gamble of you don't do your homework. I can think of a few bad apples here and there, but for the most part it's a good system and there are good people that do business on this forum.

Probably Much less of a gamble then eBay -
considering most everything is scrutinized by the WFS experts (as well as the wannabe experts)
which is probably a good thing.

This goes back to the forum rules. It's very simple. AZBilliards is private. They don't like you, they can ban you. They don't need a reason. If I owned AZBilliards, I would ban my old boss. Not because he was previously abusive on the forum, or any forum but because he's a pr&*%$ and I hope he rots in hell. I would even create a room that would strictly be about ragging on my old boss and would allocate rep based on how funny or creative a user was.

Well then, this just makes me wonder why it takes so long to ban those offenders -- i.e., people who obviously rip off forum members.

Think there might be few on this forum who are not honest sellers, BUT personally I have not found any in my transactions. So from my personal experience I think the forum is better than e-bay.

I've probably had 15 or so purchases and sales on here. I've dealt with quality ppl thus far, no issues. Key difference with azb vs something like ebay is that aside from deal feedback, you can also get a sense of the person you're dealing with by reading some of their posts (not necessarily sales related ones) and seeing how they interact with ppl in general. There are some folks on here I would probably avoid buying from, not necessarily because they've had any deals gone bad (ie all deal feedback may be positive) but rather because I just think they could be a pain to deal with (they rub me the wrong way). I have this flexibility when I shop in bricks and mortar stores (if I don't like the service or the sales person, I can shop somewhere else), so I really appreciate having it online as well.
