What cue do you play with?

Answer

For several years I have been playing for fun and money with an old Meucci sneaky pete, maple on maple. The butt cracked and I had an elforyn butt plate installed.
I removed the long a$$ ferrulles and changed to ivor-x and triangle tips. 12.50mm tips and standard taper. Cue weighs 19.25oz.
Most people don't even notice the butt plate and this cue plays VERY consistently.....now that I eliminated those soft ferrulles.

My NEW player is my Leon Sly Fancy SP....which I reviewed just a couple weeks ago in this section.
It will be my ca$h cow, baby!!!
19.25oz. 12.50mm tips. Micarta ferrulles. Everest Tips.
Radial pin. Cocobolo joint, over phenolic, over maple. Coco 4 point sneaky w/ringwork.
This cue is a BEAST!!!!!!
Look in the next couple of posts down from this one to see the pic's.
It's beautiful.............as well as deadly. LOL!

i just took my plane jane Tad out of retirement, I have had it since about 1990, i played daily with it for 4 years:confused::confused:, it was alot of play, Jerry farnklin re-painted it just before he passed away, The cue has a lot of sentemental value and I have used it so much I dont have to play with for very long to be adjusted to it. I'm going to play with it for a while(kinda like going back to a old girl friend, familiar yet still feels new), I wouldnt travel with it, if I lost it I'd be sick.

I like to change cues every so often, before the Tad here recently, I played with a Black Boar and before that a Gus, Wow what a Gus, rose wood prongs, I just wished it had the stacked veneers in the butt like the one that was just posted the other day, mine has a double black veneer-Barry said its a mid 70's cue. Its one hell of a Gus, among my favorite Gus's for sure.

I dont bounce around too much with cues but I do like a change now and then when I get stuck or board. It seems to help me get back in troke changing cues.
