I use my Scruggs sneaky, shaft 12.75mm, morri med tip, also switch with a 314 shaft ,morri med tip, shaft 12.5mm. I use a predator sneaky cue for breaking. Damn Marcus that Tascarella cue sure does looks sweeeeeet.

currently using a joss sneaky. Subject to change on a whim. I have always liked how Joss cues play, so from time to time I pick one up. Have a shaft that I keep that is about 13 years old that I play with on Joss and Schon cues.

My player is a SW's Purpleheart 9 pointers. 19.4oz, 13mm shaft with a Kamui MS tip.

It is the second one from the right.

My alternate player will be a Bushka-styled Tascarella. 19.7oz. 12.7mm shaft with Kamui MS tip.

Snookered <=== love the SW slightly more:thumbup:

Chris Nitti built.

Radial Pin ,
Ivory Joint ,
Ivory Ferrules ,
12.3mm ~15" Pro (hate that term) taper ,
30gpi old growth maple shafts,
Wizard Tip (This week ;) )

Don't usually break with it but depending on the game I have.

Other wise I have a Purple Heart Nitti , Radial W2W break cue.

I would rotate both of this cue as my main player for a certain period of time or if I go out of stroke :p .But if i got a 13mm shaft for the Tascarella, it will become my only player.

But right now, the Southwest worked for me. *LOL*

Snookered<== prefered a 13mm tip size. ;)

When you play for money what cue do you trust?
Not a list of great builders! Name your best hitting cue!!!!

What tip and shaft taper?
It should be a description of the cue you named on the first question.

Do you break with that cue?

Pictures please.

The cue below is my player, I built the cue for myself earlier this year. The cue is a converted Titlist that was made in the 1940's according to the lable that was on it.

The cue is 59 inches long, and it weighs 18.7 oz, and the shaft was cut down from a early 1900's Brunswick one peice house cue according to the lable that was on thhe cue. The shaft pictured has 51 GPI and hits very sweet. I do not break with this cue, however, I do use a Break cue, and a jump cue that I also made.

Schon and Petree

I play with a Schon STL-1 with a Petree shaft and a leather gator wrap on most days. If I have to rely on something though, I break out my Farris. That cue and I know each other real well.

This cue is old, old, but like my mac, it just works.

It's got an old titlist shaft and the other shaft is the one I use which is 12.7 and a home made milk dud tip. (compressed elkmaster) I generally don't like to play with a cue that weighs more than 19 oz.

Tasc with 314

I play with a Bill Hagan cue, 19.5 oz. with a 13mm tip, compound taper, milk dud tip. I break with a Mace J/B with a superpro or phenolic tip.

My daily player is a Joss Sneaky...I sometimes go to my Omen for tournament play...I have not been able to find a cue that hits better for me than my Joss Sneaky....

Have a good night!!!!!

Very nice Titlist conversion you made for yourself.
I especially like the detail work in the butt sleeve.

Titlist conversion cues seem to play great, and I can see why you made one to use as your daily player.

While I tend to play with my Tucker mostly at home these days...my main player out in the bars, during league and some tournies, is my trusty old Helmstetter 86-06, which plays very much like my Tucker. And yes, I break very well with it!!

Not as fancy as many others' players...but it gets the job done!! :yeah:

Id like to see this cue. Would you measure the length of butt and shafts?

I am a Hagan cue fan.

Ken

These are my cues

Shooter
African Blackwood and Coolibah Brurl.
19.8oz 12.7mm tip and 13.6mm 12" back from the tip.
Ivory ferule with Sniper tip.
Ivory joint and butt.
18.5" balance point, .850" joint, 1.23" butt.
310 inlays. The forearm is not cored.

Break cue
Cocobolo and Birdseye. Solid forearm not cored.
20.1oz. 20" balance point.
Monster 4.8oz shaft.
.870" joint, 1.25" butt.
13.5mm phenolic tip. 14.5mm 12" back from the tip.

I wanted to try the oversized cue for a couple months then I'll turn it down to .840" to see if there's a difference.

I carry a short shot jumper and a long shot jumper.
In works is a masse cue.
