looks like g 10 but it's definitely it pure white and seen them only on a break cue and they're short. ..I don't have pics but can't figure out what it is they're using
Sounds like white diamond. But they are closer to beige the white. And they are the same height as any other tip.....unless its been ground down. Great jump tip.....very good as break tip. I would consider it as a good tip for a jump/break stick. For a dedicated break stick, some would argue a different tip would be better. For a dedicated jump stick, IMO, it would be hard to find a better one.
Those are what the Jian Ying company calls "Crystal Tips" and I think "cue joe" (Darcy) makes some that look like that so they could be those.
I think they're just G10 but Crystal sounds so much better. Someone told me they were bakelite(?), but I don't know. If you look real closely they look like common fiber break tips.
They make a kind of a 'tink' sound when you break with them, a little hard to get used to but when you do it's a pretty good break tip.
I have some of those, but that's just a guess.
put it this way, some of the players I've seen with this white tip, blends so well with the white ferrule you can't tell its even there, and I've broke with it, it makes a glass popping high pitch sound, it holds chalk okay. But as mentioned earlier in the thread its white as can be. People are telling me this cue maker has been putting it on there break cues, His name is Danny Spates.
no the tip is purely white, and the ferrule is standard , not phenolic... i'll get some pictures this weekend when I see them again since I'm heading back to my hometown...
