what cues do you regret letting go?

Custom cue built for me by Gus Szamboti with a heart inlay. Hell, I don't even have a playing cue --- had to play with a break cue last week when I played in the local tournament. Maybe I can build one for me ------------

Jackie, whatcha gonna play with this weekend, I got a ebony with a big ass silver band or a little brass jointed number you might feel comfortable with ;) ;)

i regret selling off all five of my omega/dpk's. i also had a snakewood jointed mottey. that was a cool cue.

The best cue stick I've ever had or hit a ball with, was a box cue made by Carolina Cues :)

It had the ivory boxes, joint collar and ferrules, ebony forearm and butt sleeve, and a nice plain leather wrap, and my God, that was an awesome cue, it had a smooth, but solid hit with little effort at all :)

I had got it from Si D'Vali, but had to send it back to him because I simply didn't have the bankroll to buy it, and I'm completely disgusted that I had to send it back because I would've loved to have been able to buy that cue stick, because that cue would definitely have been a keeper :)

Oh well, that's how life goes :)

Cues I sold and regret selling in a big way!

These 3 cues come to mind rather quickly when you ask what cues do you regret selling. I don't have the money to hang on to all of the cues i've owned and I wish I did, but these pictures show 3 cues that I wish I could back the clock up to the day I sold them and change that decision. They are a Tim Scruggs and a James White together and the other picture is one of the nicest South West cues i've seen that wasn't inlayed.

regrets

Tim Scruggs Sneaky pete, $267.50 -delivered brand new in 1994
01 6pt ebony Southwest with matching caps $1700.00 in 2003
(couldn't stand it, had to sell it to make a quick $200.00 )
Libra, plain jane, solid cocobolo, traded for D23 McDermott and $200.00...
I can't stand owning the cue of my dreams, for very long:)

Cues regret letting go

I had Joel Hercek build me a cue and it is by far the cue i regret letting go the most. Besides a great hit(what else Joel made it) it was by far the fanciest cue i have had a cuemaker build me. All the white in cue is ivory and Joel did a great job scrimshawing the rings which were all done with notched diamonds. My second most would be a custom Richard Black with the ivory malachite and purple heart inlays.

Schon that got away

I had a 6 ivory point Schon. It had black almost cross like inlays in the points and similar inlays in blocks on the butt. I let it cue back when I was a young and dumb. I wish I could find that cue again.

It happens the be the plainest cue I ever owned...Jerry Olivier satin finished sneaky pete, that thing was the nuts.

The one that got away.

I had a Wille Hoppe Professional with a snooker shaft that I wish that I would not have sold. The shaft on that cue was pure magic. 11.5mm with practically no deflection. It was like a razor, it was amazing.

The man

It was a 1966 BUSHKA from a Burton Spain blank . Georges business card with the description and price of the cue like 55.00 dollars .That cue hit a ton......I miss it......ALOT:(

makes me wanna puke now

I have sold or traded some cues for the dumbest reason, and no I wont go into them. Heres my "what was I thinking !" list.
1. 6 point Runde Schon with two shafts mint condition
2. Plain Ebony and bem early Southwest/Kersenbrock with two shafts
3. 1972 4 ebony point w/ 4 veners Josswest
4. 4 point Runde Schon w/ two shafts
There are others but those come to mind first.

2 I miss

Searing with the nicest curly maple ever seen. Looked like it had rings all the way down. The other was an Abear Tuxedo. Who would have known they would explode today.

My wrapless McCosh cue................

that thing was one of the best cues I ever had.
