What do U like Most and Least on AZB

There is sooo much I like that it is hard to list it all. Even the threads that don't interest me, I'm sure interest some other people so to say they shouldn't be here is not right.

The only thing I find frustrating is the search function. If I am looking for information on something in particular, it usually turns up anything with a couple of words in it. For example, I was looking for information on A.E. Schmidt pool tables and a whole bunch of threads came up with John Scmidts name in it.

All in all, very nice site and am very glad we have it.

Agree..i try searching alot as well..same dilemma..i do it mostly before
i start a Thread..or if i am looking for Info on something as well to..
but usually i end up finding it..SA

I guess I like it all...except personal attacks. Those, I tend to ignore.
By personal attacks, I don't mean warnings about those who deal badly, but pure personal attacks...the root of those are often based on jealousy.

I even like aiming systems. I loved the thread about sighting along one side of your ferrule to the "spot" on the object ball...left for left cuts, right for right. Played with that a bit today, and darned if it didn't work. Now if only I could find & remain focused on the "spot" better.

This is the greatest website no doubt, sometime I log on and just stare at all the possibilities. As a guy who is promoting his book on Aim. I probably like it least when someone blows through my book in record time, obviously hasnt tried the material and then gives out some sort of review like they are an expert. Then you ask them about the material and the answer you get back lets you know just how much they worked on it.
I think I can equate that feeling to being the deer that accidently leaped over the fence into a yard with a bad dog. Baddog, Baddog, jump ha, ha he cant jump the fence, stupid dog, only he took a nice bite out of your backside on the way out. The moral of the story is you have to grow some really thick skin at times. Regardless of all that, this is the greatest place to be where peope can talk about pool. I need to figure out how to subscribe to a thread and load an avatar.

FAVORITE:

  • enjoy reading in a.m. while sipping coffee, gearing up to go to work
  • keeping up with all the pool happenings around the world

WORST:

  • forum rules not enforced anymore, as they used to be when I first joined
  • multiple identitied and banned members posting
  • five-time banned members allowed to post again

I really like almost everything about the site. As someone else mentioned, it's difficult to list it all. Top level instructors, industry movers-and-shakers, many pro's taking the time to interact with us, and countless very informed and helpful pool players from across the globe. The reports from tournaments big and small are amazing. The latest gear and gadgets are showcased here. Some great memories from years gone by are remembered, as well. It's all sooo good.

I even like most of the aiming discussions, until they disolve into name-calling insult contests.

I am also frustrated with the search engine, but I wonder what can realistically be done about that.

One BIG thing I dislike is when folks complain constantly about stuff. (Aiming, chalk, "use the search function", Dippy, whatever). If you don't like it, don't click on it. Certainly don't post about it, and prolong the thread.

The thing I like the least is common to all forums... trolls. Those who have nothing better to do than to stir the stuff.

I think it would be good if everyone had to use there real name so the cowards could not attack and then walk away IMHO

Probably wouldn't have joined if I had to give the full particulars.
I love the anonymity..and don't think it's because I'm a coward.

I have always had a love for words...they make us the highest animal.
I can still converse with Socrates,Lao, and the prophets although I'll
never know them.
And I don't think what I have to say should be given credibility or
derision because of who I am.
Let the words stand alone.
I have had my mind changed and I have changed some minds with words
only...and I think that is marvelous.

My two favorite things are (1) the good people who populate this little slice of heaven, and (2) the old timey stories.
There's also that funny fellow who lives over at the Shady Pines Convalescent Home for Men. You know, the one that's right next door to the Shady Pines Convalescent Home for Women. He comes up some goodies from time to time.

Love the Wanted/For Sale section, all the knowledgeable posters and the volumes of valuable information held here. Even though it's 99.9% not pool-related, I love the Funny Pic/GIF thread. I even like all the aiming threads and most of the back & forth drama. Some of the detective work done here is SCARY! :D

Don't really like the NPR thread & I agree with KC that it really doesn't have a place here. I don't like getting stiffed on wagers either so I place bets elsewhere instead. I don't like how addicted I am to this forum either!!
