What do you do when you are away from the table?

Personally, when I'm not competing or practicing, witch is rare, I normally like to catch up on sleep, may eat something, or use the bathroom. If time permits, I'll shower, shave, or use the telephone (briefly). I don't like to get away from the table for extended periods of time, since I feel that shooting pool is living, and everything else is waiting.

WHOA!!!!! THAT'S SCARY  I generally work, spend time with the wife, toss the kid around. Basic family stuff.

Black Cat

I work and attend school full time so that leaves precious few moments to play pool, much less do anything else. That being said, I've been going to the movie theater much more here as of late.

Work, veg in front of the TV (minimally - hooray for Tivo!), go cycling, go hiking, or general goofing-about. :P

I was going to answer "watch my opponant shoot", but I don't think that is what he was talking about!
Eat, walk the dog, sleep, walk the dog, relax, walk the dog, odd jobs around the house, walk the dog....
(I have a dog that requires a lot of attention!)

HIRUN... post a pic of your scooter. I want to see it. :)

Me?... ride mine as well... hunt... fish... motorhoming... attend Blues festivals... and generally hang out.

Oh yeah... I smoke cigars as well. :)

Greg,

I would hope Showering and bath room breaks are a high priority for you, otherwise you'll be alone at that table.

Also, if you plan on all the competition coming to you, you have it made, but sooner or later, you'll have to travel to another pool room to test your skills against the best.

Pool is 4th place on my list of responsibilities. Family, work, Friends and then pool.

My list of priorities:

1. Faith
2. Family
3. Friends
4. Work "Professional/home"
5. Graduate school
6. Writing/Reading
7. Pool
8. Exercise

I love pool, otherwise I would not waste time on this forum. However, note pools position on my list of priorities. After my daughter was born I dropped video games and tv watching. Don't get single minded - its bad for the mental health. Don't neglect relationships, you'll regret it.

I have to admit that I don't do many of the things I used to do before my addiction to pool took over. I've always immersed myself in some activity to the exclusion of most others, though. It used to be bicycle riding, woodworking, ceramics, and hot rods. Disc golf was fun for awhile. Afraid of ruining my shooting arm now, though. I've always loved competing and playing games. Handball was my favorite game ever. Perfect combination of mano y mano and exercise. Kind of hard on the ankles and hands. I spend a few hours a week playing on line poker. I wish (and my neighbors probably do, too) that I had the drive to work on the yard more. It's just so boring and takes so much time and energy that could be devoted to playing pool or snooker. I really have to thank my wife for being so indulgent. She lets me do pretty much whatever I want without too much nagging. She's certainly worth more than I paid for her. At least I'm home most of the time now. I'm sure it was harder on her when I was spending a few hours a day riding my bicycle all over the place.

Cigardave, If you are heading to Portland for the blues festival, you may want to consider stopping by for a game or two. E-mail me if you are so inclined.

work, work, pool, work, work, pool, chores, work, work, pool, work, work, pool, chores...then I start all over again:)
ruk

Watch Accu-stats tapes or Kinister's, read Phil Capelle's books, hang out with AZBers, work on my stance in front of the mirror, day dream about pool, watch some more Accu-stats, etc. et al.

Ppp

Life is all about the 3 Ps....(P.P.P.).....Two make it...One takes it....

EDIT: Married or not!!!

Trick question!

I'm usually on the way to another table!

Actually I lied, I just hang around here all day.
